Osama Ibrahim AL-Saleh, Executive Vice President


Mr. AL-Saleh joined TID in February 2007 to restructure and manage the direct investment portfolio. He is currently serving on the boards of ADAM (Asset Management) & Safwan (Medicine & Medical equipments & supplies) in Kuwait. From 2004 till early 2007, he was the senior vice president of Gulf Investment House for direct investments where he standardized the direct investments activities & managed its expansion into new sectors in the regional markets; including acquisitions & participation in the establishment of several industrial direct investments in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, & Bahrain while establishing a specialized Industrial Investment company (Afkar) in Kuwait. During his tenure, he served on the board of several companies including GFH, Bahrain & Tameer, Bahrain (Innovest now). He was in charge of Tameer’s IPO & listing in Bahrain & Kuwait stock exchanges. In the period from 1988 until 2004, he worked at KMEFIC where he started his professional career as Management Trainee until reaching Assistant GM. At KMEFIC, he established and managed several US Venture Capital funds and performed due-diligence & invested in many US & European Private Equity direct deals & funds. During those 16 international investment years, he served five years (1989 – 1994) as Vice-President of KME in New York, NY and Palo Alto, CA, KMEFIC's US subsidiary where he managed the mother company's VC & PE portfolio; in addition to his board membership participations, due-diligence, & monitoring duties on VC & PE funds & companies. Mr. AL-Saleh graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in December 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering.
